Payment and Refund Policies
For the health and wellbeing of our beautiful organization,
we adopt these policies:
Payments and Late Fees
Deposits to hold a spot in an upcoming program are due on the last day of class of the previous session or upon registration. Completion of payment is due on the first day of class (unless otherwise specified). When a due date is specified, there will be a late fee of $15 for deposits and payments made beyond the point at which they are due.
Payment Plans
Payment plans are available upon request. For school-year programs, payments can be made in 3-4 increments over the course of a semester, and will be due at specified dates. Parents and adult students are responsible for making payments on time. A $15 late fee will be required for each payment made beyond the due date.
Refunds
If withdrawal from a program is requested, refunds will be available according to this schedule:
If a student is expelled for behavioral reasons, no refunds are available. (See Student Conduct and Discipline.)
Class Cancellations
Nature Learning Community will follow the decisions of the Ann Arbor Public schools for weather-related class cancellations.
In the event of cancellations for reasons beyond our control (snow days, instructor illness etc.) there will be no makeup days and no refunds. If there should be four or more such cancellations within a school year, refunds for the fourth (and any subsequent) cancelled classes are available upon request.
If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, full refunds will be given.
Pandemic-Related Cancellations, etc.
Should we be forced to cancel in-person classes for pandemic-related reasons (such as re-entering lockdown or a COVID case reported among staff and students), no refunds will be issued. In-person classes will transition immediately into online classes. Online classes will be held at roughly the same time as in-person classes, but may not be quite as long. Should a student be unable to participate in online classes, some weekly private mentorship may be available by phone.
