Online Summer Camp! June 15, 17 and 19
There are three kinds of tracks in the photo above.
Who or what made them?
Are you curious?
Consider signing up for our online summer camp!
Nature Camp On-line??? A few months ago we’d be laughing too, but our Spring classes have all moved online and kids have had fun, felt valued, and have spent time with peers and mentors. And we’ve all grown in our connection to nature around our homes.
What you can expect at online summer camp:
- Natural mysteries, like the one above
- Stories, games, songs and movement
- Daily sharing of gratitude
- Time outside - rain or shine
- Small group discussions with skilled mentors
- Activities that can be done with what you have on hand at home
Here's what you need to participate:
- A computer, tablet or cell phone with internet connection and a microphone. It's helpful if your device has a camera, but not required. Classes will be by zoom, so it's good to have this application installed in advance.
- Outdoors space: A yard is great, but any outdoors environment that's safe and very close to your home will do.
- Timekeeping: Students go outside during class and return at a particular time. They'll need a timer they can manage or adult help tracking time.
- Clothing that can get dirty, and any other gear that keeps folks comfortable on summer days (sun hats, insect repellent, etc.)
- Other supplies, such as paper and pencil, nature objects, etc., may be suggested by email in the days right before class.
